Twenty-eight girls and women died in 2008 soon after taking Gardasil, a vaccine meant to prevent human papillomavirus infections and fight cervical cancer, according to a group that analyzed FDA records. Judicial Watch, which said it investigates and prosecutes government corruption, said in a news release there have been 47 deaths associated with Gardasil since it was approved in 1996. Records document 6,723 Adverse Reactions in 2008, including 1,061 considered "Serious" and 142 considered "Life Threatening".
